Plan A Summer Event Week of Action

A simple action to improve your business.

Here is the week long mission on building an awesome Summer Event.

Monday: Plan An Easy Summer Event

This week, we’re focused on creating in-person connection. Let’s kick it off by identifying a local event you’d genuinely enjoy and could invite others to join.

Breaking it down:

  • Choose a local event—trivia night, concert, outdoor movie, brewery gathering, art walk, etc.

  • Call or message the venue today. Ask if:

    • They offer group discounts or reserved seating

    • You could get wristbands or table space (depending on the event/venue)

    • You can collaborate on a short promo video later this week

  • Bonus if you connect with (or already know) the owner to enhance your relationship with a local business.

Daily Flow Boost:
Partner with a strategic partner to share costs and mix databases.

Tuesday: Call To Invite Your Sphere

You’ve picked a great event and connected with the venue—now it’s time to start filling the room.

Breaking it down:

  • Select your invite list. Depending on the event you chose, this could be a small list of 5 to 10 or your entire SOI!

  • Call and personally invite them to the event.

  • Let them know an email invite will be coming soon (tomorrow’s tip).

Daily Flow Boost:
Time block space on your calendar the rest of the week for more calls if you cannot get to your entire list today.

Wednesday: Send Email Invite To Your Sphere

You’ve picked the event. You’ve made some calls. Now it’s time to open the invite to more people—and email is your best friend for that.

Breaking it down:

  • Write a short, friendly email to a your sphere of influence.

  • Depending on how you want to collect RSVPs, you could:

    • Use a program like evite, paperless post, or another event/invite tracking tool.

    • Use your own email and have people reply to RSVP or fill out a short Google Form

  • Send it out and start collecting RSVPs.

Daily Flow Boost:
Add a P.S. to have your people “bring a friend, the more the merrier!”

Thursday: Text Invites to Those You Haven’t Connected With Yet

You’ve called. You’ve emailed. Now it’s time for a simple, personal text to close the loop and catch anyone you haven’t connected with yet.

Breaking it down:

  • Pull up your invite list and identify who you haven’t connected with yet.

  • Send a simple and friendly text inviting them to the event.

    • Include the date, location, and time.

    • Let them know you sent and email with all the details.

    • Share why you’re excited about it.

Daily Flow Boost:
Block time next week to follow up with anyone you haven’t heard back from yet.

Friday: Record A Quick Hype Video At The Venue

It’s almost go-time! Today, drop by the venue and record a quick hype video to share on social or via text. This adds energy, visibility, and a final reminder for anyone on the fence.

Breaking it down:

  • Visit the venue for your event.

  • Record a 15–30 second vertical video (60 seconds max) to promote the event.

  • Include the owner or manage in the video with you.

  • What to say? Here’s an idea:

    • “Hey friends! I’m out here at [venue]—on [date] we’ll hanging out here for [event name]! This is going to be a ton of fun and I cannot wait to see all of you. For all my amazing friends and clients, check your email for an invite or hit me up, I’ll save you a spot!”

  • Share the video on social, or text, or in another email to your sphere.

Daily Flow Boost:
Record a second video that is simply a nice promotion for the business hosting the event.

Let’s get after it!
